I took the shuttle to the airport and was the only customer on board. We arrived early to LAX and I sunk in to a seat and charged my devices with others who huddled near a cluster of outlets that had been relocated. A few hours later we left LAX on time with an English crew on a U.S. airline to Heathrow.
I was glad to have had an early lunch and then a second in my bag (packed by mama) that I ate before boarding, as the roasted beef and mashed potatoes didn’t hold very long in my belly. Nonetheless, it was the pad I needed to I sleep a solid 6 hours and miss really good inflight movie options I hope to catch on the way back.
Stumbling through customs and immigration to baggage claim, I actually found the underground to the Piccadilly line where I would sit for over an hour as the train churned to my lodging location in London. I pulled out my rain parka and took my pack and 17″ suitcase through Seattle like rain and with assistance from a shop vendor, found my lodging, dried off and unloaded my gear.
