The 45th California International Antiquarian Book Fair is here and it’s doors officially open on Friday, February 10th with events slated throughout the weekend.
The task will be to mingle with other bibliophiles, those who love the book as an artifact, or sometimes as a place where scholarship sneaks in between pages of paper. No Kindles, Nooks or iPads here. Just catalogs of treasures centuries old – or, perhaps decades in the making – fine papers bound and pressed for the itinerant eye to savor.
